NBCUniversal’s upcoming science fiction series Spides has been confirmed for a March 2020 release on the Sky and SyFy networks in Germany with international releases to follow. Angus McGruther joins an international cast that includes Rosabell Laurenti Sellers (Game of Thrones), Falk Hentschel (Legends of Tomorrow) and Florence Kasumba (Black Panther, The Lion King) with director and showrunner Rainer Matsutani at the helm.
Spides tells the story of teenager Nora (Sellers) who, after consuming a mysterious party drug, wakes from a coma with no memory of her past. When investigators David Leonhart (Hentschel) and Nique Navar (Kasumba) try to get to the source of the drugs, they discover a chilling link to numerous cases of missing teenagers. The arrival of suspicious new case detective Janos Teves (McGruther) leads to a series of corruption, alien conspiracies and crimes they all previously considered unimaginable.

McGRUTHER CAST IN NEW MICHAEL B. JORDAN FEATURE 'WITHOUT REMORSE'
Angus McGruther will appear as Petty Officer Guttierez in Paramount Pictures’ Without Remorse starring Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell and Guy Pearce. Based on the novel by Tom Clancy, Jordan plays John Kelly, a Navy SEAL who goes on a path to avenge his wife's murder only to find himself inside of a larger conspiracy. Directed by Italy’s Stefano Sollima, the action thriller is set for a September 2020 release. Shooting is currently underway at Studio Babelsberg, Berlin. German casting by Conelia von Braun.
"REITERHOF WILDENSTEIN" AIRS 10.05.19 ON ARD
Angus will appear in the new ARD mini-series Reiterhof Wildenstein as Jack O’Connor, an American horse trainer and love interest to the Rieke, the series protagonist. Directed by Vivien Naefe and shot on location in Ammarland, Bavaria, part one of the series will air on 10.05.19 followed by part two on 17.05.19 at 8:15pm.

ANGUS THE VOICE OF 'BOB' IN "THE THREE ???"
For decades German kids have grown up listening to the adventures of Bob, Justus and Peter in the audio program “Die Drei ???”. Sony Entertainment Europe has now finally released the popular stories in English, with Angus voicing the role of Bob. “The Three ???” in English!

Angus will join an international cast in the upcoming NBC Universal series Spides. ANGUS CAST IN GERMAN DRAMA "REITERHOF WILDENSTEIN"
Angus will star alongside Klara Deutschmann in the upcoming ARD mini-series Reiterhof WIldenstein (think Germany’s answer to McLeod’s Daugthers) as Jack, an American horse trainer. Shooting will take place in Munich, Germany over the Summer, with a 2019 television release on ARD network.
'DIE DIPLOMATIN' TO AIR 31.03.18
Angus will star alongside Natalia Wörner in the German political TV drama Die Diplomatin: Jagd durch Prag airing on German network ARD on Saturday 31st March 2018 at 8:15pm.

BAD BANKS PREMIERES AT BERLINALE
The new mini-series BAD BANKS directed by Christian Schwochow celebrated its world premiere at the 2018 Berlinale as part of the Berlinale Series section. Angus McGruther appears amongst a large supporting cast in this European coproduction by Letterbox Films Germany and Iris Productions Luxembourg.
BAD BANKS will also be available worldwide including on SBS Australia and HBO Europe and Scandinavia.

'THE ASH LAD' TO SCREEN AT BERLINALE EFM
The Ash Lad: In the Hall of the Mountain King (Norwegian title: Askeladden) is an epic Norwegian adventure film, directed by Mikkel Brænne Sandemose.
Angus McGruther was cast to dub the English voice of lead actor Mads S. Pettersen in what is the first of a trilogy of films.
The English language version will screen at the Berlinale European Film Market - Sunday 18 February at 5pm.

LEAD ROLE IN GERMAN THRILLER 'DIE DIPLOMATIN'
Angus McGruther has completed shooting the latest instalment of the ARD Network Series Die Diplomatin (The Diplomat) in Prague. Angus will star as American marine Sean Miller, a whistleblower on the run who turns up at the German Embassy in Prague in an attempt to seek political asylum. The 90-minute episode will air in Spring 2018.

Angus appears in the first of three parts in the ARD trilogy NSU: GERMAN HISTORY X (MITTEN IN DEUTSCHLAND: NSU). Based on true events in newly reunified Germany, the three films explore the characters and crimes of a neo-Nazi movement against immigrants. The first part was directed by Christian Schwochow.

Angus returns to "Lindenstraße"

Angus will return in August to the German soap series as "Jeff", an Australian entrepreneur who opens his company in Munich, with some confused business ethics. Angus first appeared in the series earlier this year alongside series veteran Rebecca Siemoneit-Barum.
'Nele in Berlin' to air this month!
ZDF's television comedy Nele in Berlin premiered on March 1st across Germany. Angus appeared in the role of Scott, an American expat in Berlin who befriends the protagonist Nele. The telemovie is available on the ZDF Mediathek for a limited time. (German language)
